Fun facts about EELThis is an addendum informational post, and it is only peripherally about photography. Now that I have this information, I would be remiss not to include it.....
I was just watching the Food Network, specifically Chopped, and I just learned that raw eel's blood is toxic. Poisonous to mammals.
This fun fact may be common knowledge to everyone living near water.
But I have not heard about many incidents in Tucson involving raw eel's blood ingestion toxicity. It may be a common occurrence elsewhere?!?.
We've established that I like sushi, but eel is always cooked in sushi. Never before today have I pondered the why behind that. Now I know.
So, if you read my previous blog post, there is a lesson to be learned here. And I'm glad I had my mouth closed.
I'm only including a photo here for the sushi reference. Note to self: sushi is beautiful food....need to take some better pictures of sushi someday.
